ABOUT US

THE BEGINNING OF
BRANDY PRODUCTION
IN ARMENIA

The largest selection of alcoholic beverages in Armenia

It all began in 1995. Two friends Armen Gasparyan and Eduard Chobanyan decided to take a chance and bought a small old factory that was leftover from the time when Armenia was part of the Soviet Union. They were determined and chose to make sparkling wines.

They named the factory "Proshyan" and started to grow. They didn't stop at sparkling wines, pushed the limits of Armenian winemaking and were the first to bring pomegranate wine to Armenia.

Merely two years onward, in 1997, the winery's growth persisted, achieving triumphs in distilling vodka, producing champagne, and crafting brandy. The relentless pursuit of perfection kindled the genesis of premium Armenian beverages.

During the early 2000s, Proshyan factory embarked on a journey beyond the borders of the Armenian market, exporting its offerings to nations like Russia, Belarus, the USA, Germany, Israel, and more.

With each shipment that left, Proshyan factory's beverages found their way into the glasses of individuals around the globe, disseminating the genuine essence of Armenian artistry.

REACHING
NEW PEAKS

Continuing on the path of success, the plant decided it was time to establish a representative office in Russia, taking full control of the sales processes. The next destination on the expansion map was Ukraine.

In 2011, a new era unfolded in the plant's history. A state-of-the-art facility was inaugurated in Armavir, dedicated to grape cultivation, brandy storage, wine production, and the broadening of the range of canned goods.

With the aim of making Proshyan's diverse selection more accessible to consumers, the factory launched a retail store in the heart of Yerevan, located at 18 Mashtots Avenue.

Our complete history weaves a narrative of affection, unwavering commitment, and an intense zeal for labor.
